Projects
I am most well-known for developing Voice over IP, which is used for
video conference software.
I came up with the idea that allows people to donate to charity by
texting. This idea was inspired by American Idol's system of
allowing people to vote for their favorite singer via texting.
At Google, I managed the team that launched the technology for Project
Loon, which flies balloons over areas to provide them with internet
access.
I am the Vice President of Engineering focused on Access Strategy &
Emerging Markets. That means I lead oversee teams that use creative
ways to bring internet all over the world. One of these programs,
Internet Saathi, focuses on getting internet access to women in India.
